Bringing Safety Solutions To The Masses

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER:

For Your Information;

If you are purchasing respirators to protect healthcare workers from exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, only respirators certified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) are recommended. NIOSH’s National Personal Protective Equipment Laboratory tests respirators to determine efficacy and conformance with NIOSH standards. Once certified, the respirator is listed on NIOSH’s Certified Equipment List with an Approval Number. Respirators on this list are considered certified and appropriate for their intended use. The graphic below illustrates the information that should be supplied on any NIOSH certified N95 respirator.

Information Supplied on NIOSH Certified N95 Respirators

The CDC has published guidance on how to identify counterfeit N95 respirators. Verification of the manufacturer is key in evaluating whether a product and manufacturer are legitimate.

What is the deal about masks?

Different countries use different standards for masks, the letters and/or the numbers are indicators of country standard being addressed and the level of protection being provided.

  • The N series masks are American standards.

  • The KN series masks are Chinese standards.

  • The FFP series masks are European standards.

  • The KF series masks are Korean standards.

The latter number that follows the letters refers to the protection ability, the greater the number is, the higher the level of protection.

Example: KN95, are masks rated by Chinese Standards and they have the ability to filter out more than 95% of non-oily particles, and the protective effect is roughly equivalent to the European standard.

Distribution Response:

Delivery Times and Service Guarantees: Orange Wall Enterprises LLC is actively working to ship and ground-deliver orders as promptly as possible. Our shipping partners are committed to on-time delivery as promised but do experience factors impacting on their promise. Should this happen, our customers can expect shipping delays, with the possibility of orders arriving up to one day or as much as one week behind published schedule. Given the global demand for personal protection equipment and medical solutions and reduced capacity of flight cargo space, some shipments may be impacted by delivery delays.

Distribution Centers: Orange Wall Enterprises LLC is actively engaged in monitoring the safety and cleaning protocols align with CDC recommendations for all incoming and outgoing products and our in-office inventory audit and stocking services. We have implemented new shifts in the way we conduct business to minimize risks. As part of these changes, the Orange Wall Enterprises LLC office is open to scheduled visits on a limited basis, and at your convenience and to be mindful of your safety we utilize online conference and video technology.

Shipping & Delivery: Orange Wall Enterprises LLC is committed to servicing our customers in this unprecedented time of need. A crucial aspect of our ability to service our customers is transportation and freight. We recommend customers refer to guidelines and statements provided by the global carriers delivering shipments to remain updated and understand their safety protocols. Below is a consolidated view of our current shipping and delivery information.

  • UPS: UPS continues to deliver worldwide. While UPS has suspended their Service Guarantee in light of overall Coronavirus uncertainties. The majority of their services continue with the same expected delivery timeframes our customers have come to expect.  If destination addresses are not accessible due to business closure or quarantine, shipments will be held for nine (9) business days until the destination is cleared for delivery. If the destination is cleared within nine (9) business days, UPS will re-attempt delivery, prior to returning the shipment to sender. Alternate delivery locations may be available as well, depending on the destination location. UPS standard practice is to utilize exception codes providing updates to impacted shipments. UPS has suspended the UPS Service Guarantee for all shipments from any origin to any destination until further notice. UPS expects to see delays within the Air and Ground networks. Signature Required Services have been modified. Drivers will ensure packages are delivered to the consignee but will not be exchanging the signature board to capture a signature. Drivers will not release packages without the consignee being available to retrieve them, and if applicable verify the age (over 21) of the consignee. UPS is also taking additional precautions when delivering to healthcare facilities.  All UPS drivers delivering to healthcare related locations are provided a mask to wear while performing the delivery.

  • FedEx: Due to the crucial role they play in moving supply chains and delivering critical relief, FedEx is considered an essential business and may continue to operate under state of emergency and shelter in place orders recently issued in the U.S. FedEx has suspended our money-back guarantee for all FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight and FedEx Office services effective immediately until further notice.  Further, FedEx suspended Signature Required for most shipments. Delays are to be expected. Signature guidelines are being temporarily adjusted for all shipments within the United States, except for Adult Signature Required (ASR) shipments. In efforts to minimize physical interactions, customers may be asked to verify recipient name in lieu of a physical signature. FedEx is still collecting recipient information. For shipments with the adult signature service option selected, couriers will still request a physical signature and require a government issued photo ID.

  • UPS Freight: UPS Freight is designated among the government’s critical infrastructure and, therefore, operations continue as normal. In order to reduce physical interaction, White Glove services (Inside delivery, uncrate and de-trash, etc.) are suspended until further notice.

  • DHL: Some foreign governments have placed limits on personal protective equipment (PPE), and face masks being exported outside of their borders, which is why parcels may get stopped from during the shipping process. As this is a matter for local legislation, DHL must adhere to these rules and restrictions. DHL Express' intercontinental network, including the global hubs in Cincinnati (Americas), Leipzig (Europe) and Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) are in full operation. Given the long lead-times in Ocean Freight, DHL makes sure shipments do not get stranded once the destination region is facing lockdowns by working diligently within its DHL Global Forwarding service DHL is in constant contact with its DHL Global Forwarding customers whose shipments DHL is currently handling to provide information on any delay or change in routing. DHL has committed to work on solutions to arrange for alternative delivery or storage should the consignee facility at destination not being able to receive the goods.  For more information on DHL Shipping, please visit www.dhl.com
